I’ve got news! I have been shortlisted for CONTENT CREATOR OF THE YEAR at the Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards 2024. A prestigious award that champions the achievements of writers, photographers, broadcasters, content creators and personalities who encourage us to enjoy, experience and broaden our understanding of food and drink through their work. 

Shocked & ecstatic, as I have never put myself up for any of these awards. To be honest with you, I’ve always thought I didn’t stand a chance, not popular enough, and I just do things a little differently. Despite how hard it is in this field, and how long it has taken me to get to this point, everyday I feel like a winner, doing what I love, with your support and our thriving community. This came as such wonderful news. It feels great to be acknowledged. No matter how ‘small’ you think you are, you are inspiring someone. I simply use my voice and work to amplify a cuisine & culture that needs representation, and I share the joy I find in cooking, feeding, teaching others and in serving my community. You make my passion for food and people a worthwhile purpose.

I have always believed in quality over quantity, however, in this case, there is strength in numbers and the power is in your hands to vote for me as a community. It will not only be a great honour and achievement, but also a big win for us and for people like me, who don't think they stand a chance at such grand awards.
