I’m excited to invite you to my most intimate cookery classes yet, where you can choose your culinary adventure from the diverse regions of Africa and travel with me at home in London! Join me in exploring the rich flavours of West Africa, East Africa, North Africa, South Africa and beyond.
Each class is a culinary adventure, featuring exceptional produce, an extensive array of spices, delightful feasting, and abundant inspiration to create magic in your own kitchen.

After 9 years living on the Sussex coast, I have returned to where it all began. At the time, I launched these fabulous cookery classes in London inspired by my supper clubs and creation of African Afternoon Tea where guests often wanted to know how to make the dishes that transported them to this wondrous continent. At the time, there was simply nothing like it in London and sadly, not much has changed. My cookery classes are a lot of fun, immersive, transporting and with techniques that will help to elevate your cooking. London is the perfect place for us to converge. What better city is there outside Africa, to host experiences as diverse as these.
What to expect at my masterclass:
We will begin with a decadent African Afternoon Tea with freshly baked plantain scones, spiced jams and more.
At our Ethiopian & Eritrean Masterclass, you will be treated to a traditional and enchanting Coffee Ceremony at my local, where the beans are roasted and brewed to your delight.
We will dive into a hands-on spice masterclass, where I’ll guide you in mastering the art of buying, storing and using spices to create extraordinary dishes.
Learn new and exclusive recipes alongside favourites from my cookbook Africana, tailored to cooks of all levels.
End the day with a feast, celebrating your creations with wine and fresh juices, and take home your own spice blend and other surprises to continue your culinary journey.
What’s on the menu?
In our North African class, enjoy a Moroccan Mint Tea Ceremony, make your own harissa, learn to cook Couscous the traditional way I was taught by our Moroccan cook and also the modern way so you choose what’s best for you, my decadent celebration tagine with dried apricots, lamb, seasonal vegetables, Egyptian bread pudding Om Ali to finish the day.
In our West African class, learn to cook Yassa, master the art of jollof, learn to cook plantains, moin moin (savoury steamed pudding) but with super easy lentils and more.
In our Ethiopian & Eritrean class you will use your own home made Berbere to cook the enchanting Doro wot, and you will learn to make the Injera from scratch!
January - March dates are now up with more regions and classes to come. Now who are you going to bring along with you? Although you don’t need to, whether you come with family, friends or solo, warm welcome and memorable day awaits.
