What to cook this week!
Apologies if you have already received this. My brain is as off as my laptop today! With bated breath, the country awaits the big game tonight and a very important question prevails, “what will you be cooking/eating while watching the game tonight?” A great choice below by Fola, a fabulous member of our community.
Fancy a bowl of Egusi or Jollof, a golden Rolex wrap or Suya Roasted Chicken? Washed down with a glass of Hibiscus Chapman! Or a bowl of Plantain & Red Kidney Bean Curry. Although this curry is Nigerian and Kenyan inspired, curry is Britain’s national food after all. Lots to choose from tonight and this week.
Let’s get cooking!
1. Jollof Rice of all kinds on the website & newsletter as seen here, here, and here. Benachin/Tcheboujen in my cookbook Africana! 📕
2. Plantain & Red Kidney Bean Curry from Africana Cookbook impeccably captured by Jemma who is a fantastic creator and photographer.
3. Golden Ugandan Rolex wrap from the book with the bewitching tomato & date jam now as seen in my previous letter and the winning recipe in Ainsley Harriott’s new hot show.
4. Egusi with Pounded Yam from Africana Cookbook. Finger-licking good old Nigerian flavours with my modern twists.
5. Hibiscus Chapman 🌺 from Africana Cookbook.📕
6. Sesame Suya Roast Chicken for Delicious Magazine.
7. Seafood Potato with sweet potato & spinach for Delicious Magazine.
